Harvard University: The oldest in USA

Harvard University was one of the oldest universities in USA and the first corporation (officially The President and Fellows of Harvard College) chartered in the country.It was a private university too and established in 1636 by the Massachusetts legislature, located in  Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S. Harvard was named after its first benefactor, John Harvard.

      Barack Obama, current President of the United States of America, graduated from Harvard Law School with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1991.

The university comprises eleven separate academic units — ten faculties and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study — with campuses throughout the Boston metropolitan area. Harvard’s 210-acre (85 ha) main campus is centered on Harvard Yard in Cambridge, approximately 3.4 miles (5.5 km) northwest of downtown Boston

Now it has 2,107 faculties  and 21,225 students,14,044 postgraduates ,and it also mange to maintain their own news paper ” The Harvard Crimson”.
